Baking Cup Coin Balance

Steps:

Fill the Aluminium Foil Pan halfway with clear water.
Place one Baking Cup carefully onto the water surface.
Use a pincer grasp to pick up one coin.
Gently drop the coin into the center of the cup.
Continue adding coins to see how many it carries.
Try to keep the cup from tipping or sinking.

Wet Paper Squeeze Mail

Steps:

Tear the index cards into small, postage stamp-sized pieces. Encourage tearing with both hands for strong bilateral input.
Place all the torn pieces into the bowl. Cover the paper completely with water and let it soak for five minutes to create resistant pulp.
Adult Step: Cut a tight, narrow slot (about 1.5 inches long) into the container lid. Secure the lid shut completely with masking tape.
Reach into the bowl and gather a handful of wet paper pulp. Squeeze the pulp as hard as you can over the bowl to remove the water.
Hold the container firmly steady with your helper hand. Use your dominant hand to push the dense, wet pulp straight through the narrow slot. Repeat until the container is full!

Steps:

Tear the newspaper into small strips using both hands. Focus on strong, controlled pulls.
Fill the bucket halfway with water. Submerge the newspaper strips until they are fully saturated and mushy.
Grab a large handful of wet paper. Squeeze the paper tightly over the bucket to remove the water. Aim for maximum effort!
Squeeze the remaining damp paper firmly into dense, hard balls (your ‘fortress rocks’).
Place the empty plastic container target nearby. Hold the container steady with your helper hand.
Use your working hand to aim and drop the wet paper ball precisely into the narrow target opening. Repeat until all rocks are delivered.

Sticky Feather Knockdown Challenge

Steps:

Secure a piece of cardboard vertically onto a stable wall or door using masking tape.
Use strips of masking tape, sticky side OUT, to create a large landing zone at the bottom of the cardboard.
Lightly secure several feathers across the upper area of the cardboard using small pieces of masking tape. They should be easy to knock off.
Fill the trigger style spray bottle with water. Encourage the child to hold the bottle firmly.
Aim the stream of water directly at one of the feather targets. Squeeze the trigger hard to knock the feather down.
The goal is to aim the feather so it falls into the sticky landing zone below. Repeat until all feathers are rescued.
Collect the rescued feathers and repeat the challenge by sticking them back onto the cardboard.

Kernel Cannon Wall

Steps:

Mix the playdough with a little water in the container until it forms a thick, sticky sludge. Stir in a handful of corn kernels to make the mixture highly resistant.
Secure the piece of cardboard vertically onto a stable wall or door using masking tape. Use markers to draw a large, simple target shape on the board.
Hold the eyedropper (or baster) with a strong pincer grasp (thumb and pointer finger). Squeeze the bulb hard to suck up the resistant kernel sludge mixture.
Hold the cardboard steady with your helper hand to keep the surface stable. Aim the loaded dropper at the marker target.
Squeeze the dropper forcefully to shoot the kernel sludge onto the target. Encourage maximum effort! Repeat this action until the target is completely covered.
