Hi, I’m Avital Shuster. I’m a mom to three active kids, a wife, and a pediatric occupational therapist in Orange County, California. I’m also the founder and clinical director of Tumble N’ Dots, a pediatric therapy clinic in Irvine.
Why I created OTPlan
Years ago, before social media made sharing ideas instant, families kept asking me the same thing: how can we help our child build skills at home without expensive therapy equipment or complicated toys?
The best tools are often already in your kitchen drawer or recycling bin. So I built OTPlan, a search engine for activity ideas that use simple, everyday items.

My philosophy
Therapy shouldn’t feel like work. It should feel like play. Whether you’re navigating autism, ADHD, sensory differences, or just looking for fun ways to support your child’s development, my approach is always child-led and neurodiversity-affirming. Follow your child’s lead. The best activity is the one they want to do again.
A note on therapy
These activities are for play and practice at home. They don’t replace an evaluation or guidance from a licensed occupational therapist. If you have questions about your child’s development, talk with your pediatrician or an OT.
