Paper Chain
Purpose:
This activity helps the child practice cutting lines. Using glue as oppose to stapler promotes sensory processing.
Skills: Bilateral Hand Use(?) The use of both hands simultaneously, in a controlled manner, to perform an activity (i.e. clapping hands, using your one hand to hold a pencil while the other is used to stabilize the paper)., Cutting, Sensory Processing
Draw 5-6 straight lines on different color sheets of construction paper.
Let the child cut along the lines to create long construction paper strips.
Glue the construction paper strips together the ends to create a circle.
Connect the circles together and make chains.
