The Ribbon Tail Balloon Catch

Steps:

Blow up a bright balloon and tie it tightly.
Cut four long strips of ribbon using your scissors.
Tape the ribbons to the bottom of the balloon.
Toss the balloon high into the air.
Ask your child to catch the balloon by the ribbons.
See how many times they can catch it before it lands!

Safety Tip:
Always watch your child when playing with balloons. Broken pieces are a choking hazard. Throw away any popped balloons right away.

Under-Table Starry Night

Steps:

Draw many colorful dots across a flat piece of cardboard using your markers.
Use a pen to poke a small hole through the center of every dot.
Find a stable low table and tape the cardboard to the underside with masking tape.
Help your child lie down on their back underneath the table.
Hand them a pile of Q-tips to hold in their helper hand.
Challenge them to push a Q-tip into every star hole they see above.

Safety Tip:
Ensure the table is stable and the area is clear of hard objects. Always supervise your child while they are lying under the furniture.

The Shimmering Mosaic Lid Garden

Steps:

Place the plastic container on a flat table.
Use markers to draw grass and flower stems on the sides of the container.
Put long strips of masking tape across the lid with the sticky side facing up.
Secure the edges of the tape so it stays on the lid.
Have your child pick up one sequin using their thumb and pointer finger.
Press the sequin onto the sticky tape to make a flower on top of the stem.
Continue until the garden on the lid is full of colorful sequin flowers.

Safety Tip:
Sequins are very small and can be a choking hazard, so please supervise your child closely during play.

The Upright Clip Fence

Steps:

First, cut a rectangular piece of cardboard to use as your sturdy base.
Lay a long strip of masking tape across the cardboard with the sticky side up.
Secure the ends of the tape so the strip stays perfectly flat.
Use your markers to draw a winding path directly onto the sticky tape.
Hand your child the tweezers and a pile of colorful paper clips.
Challenge them to pick up a clip and press its narrow edge onto the tape.
They should follow the marker line until the path is covered with standing clips.
Once finished, they can use their fingers to pluck the clips off.

Safety Tip:
Always supervise your child during play. Small paper clips are a choking hazard, so keep them away from younger siblings.

Paper Cup Balance Track

Steps:

Line up six paper cups upside down in a row on a flat table.
Use masking tape to secure each cup base to the table so they do not move.
Use a bright marker to draw a simple line across the top of all the cups to create a path.
Place a ping pong ball on the first cup in the line.
Hand your child a spoon and ask them to hold it with their dominant hand.
Challenge them to use the spoon to gently push the ball along the marker path from one cup to the next.
See if they can reach the final cup without the ball falling off the track!
If the ball falls, have them pick it up using their pincer fingers and start again.
