The Secret Keyhole Drop

Steps:

Cut a narrow slot in a piece of cardboard using your scissors.
Use your markers to draw a treasure chest or a door around the secret slot.
Tape a craft stick to the edge of a large button to create a key handle.
Ask your child to hold the cardboard upright with their helper hand.
They must twist their wrist to align the button with the slot to push it through.
Try making the slot horizontal or vertical to change the wrist movement.

The Pipe Cleaner Reef Rescue

Steps:

Turn the egg carton upside down on the table.
Use markers to color each bump of the carton a different color.
Use the tip of your scissors to poke a small hole in the top of each bump.
Pick up a pipe cleaner and push it into one of the holes.
Bend the pipe cleaner so it looks like wavy seaweed.
Pick up a bead and slide it onto the pipe cleaner seaweed.
Repeat this for all the holes until your reef is full of color!

The Yarn Star Weaver

Steps:

Glue two craft sticks together in the shape of a cross.
Wait for the glue to dry so the sticks are sturdy.
Tie the end of your yarn to the center of the cross.
Wrap the yarn once around one stick, then move to the next.
Continue this wrapping pattern until the star reaches your desired size.
Use scissors to cut the yarn and tie a final knot to finish.

The Royal Cardboard Cuff

Steps:

Help your child use scissors to cut a paper roll into three wide rings.
Use the hole puncher to make several holes around the edge of one ring.

Tie one end of the yarn to a hole on the ring.
Ask your child to thread the yarn through the other holes, adding beads as they go.
Tie a knot at the end to secure the royal cuff.

Ask your child to slide a button onto the yarn.

Have them drop the buttons into different baking cups at the finish line!
