Balloon Blast Ping Pong Path

Steps:

  • Cut several long strips of cardboard and bend them into U-shaped arches.
  • Use masking tape to stick these arches onto a flat table to make a tunnel path.
  • Place a ping pong ball at the very beginning of the path.
  • Blow up a bright balloon but do not tie the end shut.
  • Pinch the balloon neck tightly with your fingers to keep the air inside.
  • Hold the balloon behind the ball and point the opening at it.
  • Slowly let go of the pinch to release a blast of air.
  • Try to blow the ball through every single cardboard arch to the finish!

Safety Tip:
Always supervise your child when they are playing with balloons. If a balloon pops, pick up and throw away the broken pieces immediately. These can be a choking hazard.

Steps:

  • Cut a piece of cardboard into a square shape, about the size of a book.
  • Use masking tape to mark a start and finish line on the floor.
  • Place a ping pong ball in the center of the cardboard paddle.
  • Ask your child to hold the paddle with both hands at first.
  • Challenge them to walk from the start line to the finish line without the ball falling.
  • Once they are experts, have them try holding the paddle with only one hand!

The Foil Pan Bead Scoop

The Foil Pan Bead Scoop

Steps:

  • Place the aluminium foil pan on a flat table.
  • Fill the pan about halfway with cool water.
  • Drop a handful of colorful beads into the water.
  • Give your toddler a sturdy spoon to hold.
  • Ask them to scoop up one bead at a time.
  • Challenge them to carry the bead to a nearby bowl.
  • Drop the rescued bead into the empty bowl.
  • Continue until all the beads are moved out of the water!

Steps:

  • Give your toddler two paper plates to decorate with markers.

  • Help your child pick up a handful of beans.
  • Ask them to use their thumb and pointer finger to drop the beans one by one.
  • Place the second plate upside down on top of the first.
  • An adult should staple the edges together firmly.
  • Glue several colorful ribbon strips to the sides of the shaker.
  • Show your toddler how to hold the shaker with both hands.
  • Shake the plates to the beat of your favorite song!

The Hidden Meadow Rescue

Steps:

  • First, grab a piece of cardboard to use as your meadow floor.
  • Draw a few colorful bugs on the board with your markers.
  • Cut your green tissue paper into several long, thin strips.
  • Glue the bottom end of each strip to the cardboard base.
  • Let the top of the paper flop over to hide your bug drawings.
  • Place some colorful buttons or stickers underneath the tissue paper grass.
  • Invite your child to go on a bug hunt in the meadow!
  • Show them how to lift the grass with one hand while the other picks up a button.
