Activities of daily living (ADL) are routine activities that people tend do everyday without needing assistance. There are six basic ADLs: eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking) and continence.
Everyday skills like buttoning, zipping, using a spoon, and pulling on socks depend on fine motor control, strength, and planning. The activities below make practice playful, so kids can build these skills before they need them in daily routines.
While these activities are great for home practice, nothing replaces the guidance of a licensed therapist. If you are in Irvine, CA or the Orange County area and have concerns about your child's Activities of daily living (ADL), we invite you to connect with us.
