This fun activity provides great resistance, which is known as heavy work, for little hands. Anchoring the playdough and container strengthens the shoulder and core muscles (proximal stability). This improves overall dexterity for self-help tasks such as opening tough containers or pulling zippers. It also requires excellent bilateral hand coordination.
