This activity gives your preschooler a focused workout for their hand muscles. It targets the small muscles (intrinsic) needed for pencil grip and buttoning. Pressing the beads firmly onto the Velcro and the dense sponge provides deep pressure feedback (proprioception). This sensory input is often calming and helps children learn how much force to use for tasks. Using the helper hand to keep the container steady also builds shoulder and core stability.
