Can I buy individual boxes or do I have to sign up for a subscription?

Yes! You can pick and choose any box to purchase or sign up for a prepaid subscription to get a new box every month. We offer 1-month, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months subscriptions.

What type of subscriptions do you offer?

We offer a subscription for Skills in a Box and a separate subscription for our OTPlanDough play-dough themed boxes.

Alternatively, you can purchase individual boxes from our shop.

Can I cancel my subscription and/or receive a refund?

You can cancel anytime by logging into your OTPlan account or contacting us.

In order to receive a refund, you must request one before we ship your box. We are unable to provide refunds for boxes that have already shipped.

Where do you ship to?

We currently ship within the US and Canada.

Shipping within the contiguous United States is free for orders over $50.

If you are outside of our shipping zones and you frequently purchase online from the US, some of our clients recommend a service like ‘Ship it To’ to be able to receive your packages internationally.

When are boxes shipped?

We ship orders in 2 batches every month (at the beginning of the month and around mid-month).

If you upgrade to priority shipping, your order will be processed and shipped faster. If you need your order processed by a specific date, please let us know.

Why should I choose Priority Shipping?

When you please an order, your order will be placed in a queue and will be processed in the order received. We ship orders twice a month.

We must receive your order by the 1st week of the month to process on the 15th. We must receive your order during or before the 3rd week of the month to be processed on the 1st of the following month (for example, an order placed on the 4th of the month will be shipped mid-month while orders placed on the 13th of the month will be shipped the following month).

With Priority Shipping your order will be processed within 2-3 business days and shipped to you via priority mail.

Please note that due to COVID-19 impacts, some orders might require additional time to be delivered. You will receive an email with a tracking number when your order is shipped.

Where is my package?

We will send you an email with the tracking information for your order. Note that some orders might be divided into multiple shipments.

Please be advised that due to COVID-19, there might be delays in processing your order and shipping timelines.

If you place an order for a pre-order product, the product description will list when the product will be available. We generally ship pre-order items around mid-month. A tracking number will be generated and emailed to you when your package is ready.

Who pays import/customs fees for international orders?

If you’re buying one of our products and are located outside of the United States, import and customs fees might be due. OTPlan is not responsible for these fees and will not collect these fees.

When your package arrives at the border, the applicable customs duties will be assessed and must be paid before they can be delivered. Based on the quantity of the packages and their shipping destination, there may be no cost at all.

Our shipping carrier will contact you directly if any import and customs fees are due. Please include your phone number when completing the checkout process.

Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) – how to order?

OTPlan is an approved vendor with ESA Arizona and an approved ClassWallet vendor.

ClassWallet Orders
If you would like to place an order via your ESA account and ClassWallet, please follow the following steps:
– Add products to the cart on OTPlan
– Take screenshots of the cart
– Login to your ClassWallet account and submit your order with the screenshots

Upon approval, ClassWallet will submit the order to us on your behalf.

Orders Not in ClassWallet
You will need to place your order on OTPlan and submit your invoice to ESA for reimbursement.


Subscription orders placed via ESA will be shipped out combined when possible (i.e. a 3-month subscription will be packaged and shipped together in 1 shipping box).

What can I do if an item in my box broke?

Each box is checked before we ship it out.

However, if an item broke during shipping, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your box and we will gladly assist you.

We cannot be responsible for items that are broken during or after use.

What if my box is lost or stolen?

Every box comes with tracking and is domestically insured by USPS or UPS for up to $100.

We are not responsible for lost/stolen packages once marked as delivered by the carrier or inaccurate addresses entered by the buyer.

All claims for lost/stolen items can be made through USPS’s or UPS’s official website using your tracking number or made at your local post office.

Please ensure there is a secure location for you to receive packages or request boxes to be held at your local post office for pick up to ensure safe delivery.

What age group are these boxes for?

Our boxes are intended for children ages 3+.

However, this is a general guideline as children with special needs have different skill levels and developmental abilities. 

Always supervise your child to make sure that the items in the box are being used appropriately.

What is included in Skills in a Box package?

‘Skills in a Box’ is a monthly box with all the materials and instructions needed to keep working and promoting skill development and support academic standards in the convenience of your home.

You can purchase a 6-month or 12-month subscription or buy individual boxes without a subscription.

What is included in OTPlanDough package?

OTPlanDough kits are themed playdough kit boxes.

The large boxes are shipping with 3 colorful home-made and toxic-free playdough balls and can be purchased with scented/unscented variations.

Together with the included themed manipulatives and props, our OTPlanDough kits provide tactile input and promote fine motor skills, bilateral coordination, visual perception skills, language, creativity, and imagination.

Can I pick up my order?

Yes! We’re located in Orange County, CA. If you’re local and would like to come pick up your order, please mention it in the comments field during checkout.

School District Purchase Orders

If you have a purchase order from a school district or would like us to be an approved vendor at your school district, please contact us.

Purchase orders must be approved before we can process these.
