Rainbow of Skills

This is a fun activity that promotes the child’s fine motor skills and works mainly on bilateral use of hands and pincer grasp as the child tears the construction paper into small pieces.

PickUp Straws Game

This activity is good for children who work on their pincer grasp or on finger separation/thumb opposition. You can ask the child to use his thumb and pointer, thumb and middle finger, thumb and ring finger, or thumb and pinkie, to pick up the straws. For this game, you can use colorful straws, pens, colored pencils, toothpicks or pipe-cleaners.

Spelling Push Ups

The child will be working on receiving and processing propreoceptive input while laying prone on the therapy ball. This activity also works on trunk control and upper extremities strengthening.

Lunch Box

This activity works on fine manual control skills by cutting and folding construction paper to make a decorated lunch box.

Line Em Up

This activity will help to improve attention, especially visual attention by lining up items.
